Pastor Premkumar Parasuraman
Since December 2022, Pastor Premkumar Parasuraman has assumed the role of Senior Pastor at the Ebenezer City Church in Melbourne. With a solid foundation in pastoral ministry spanning fifteen years in Qatar, Pastor Parasuraman brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new position. He holds a Bachelor of Theology degree obtained in 2001, followed by a Master of Divinity in 2005.
Before embarking on his pastoral journey, Pastor Parasuraman honed his skills as a teacher in various seminaries. His dedication to sharing the message of faith extends beyond the pulpit, as evidenced by his involvement in street evangelism, tract distribution, youth ministry, convention preaching, and delivering sermons at revival meetings. Noteworthy is his adeptness in live on-stage translation for English preachers, allowing him to reach diverse audiences effectively. For years, Pastor Parasuraman has touched lives daily through his two-minute devotional audio messages shared on social media platforms under the moniker “Vachanakiranangal”. These messages, available in languages such as English, Hindi, Tamil, and Nepali, have garnered a wide following. In addition to his digital outreach, his devotional messages have been compiled into published books, expanding their reach further.
Furthermore, Pastor Parasuraman’s dedication to bridging language barriers is evident in his translation work, with small booklets translated from English to Malayalam. His commitment to ministry, coupled with his multifaceted approach to spreading the gospel, positions him as a dynamic leader within the community.
Premkumar, a prolific songwriter, has crafted numerous heartfelt compositions, one of which begins with the poignant words, ‘Thirumeshayen kannin munpil,’ reflecting on the sacred presence of the Lord’s table. The depth of emotion in his music is truly moving.

Faced with despair, it was a compassionate Christian sister who extended a guiding hand, sharing the message of the gospel and the solace of prayer to Jesus. This profound encounter led to a transformation that not only impacted his mother but also eventually touched the lives of her children, including Premkumar himself, and even her initially sceptical husband. The unwavering strength displayed by Premkumar’s mother through adversity, enduring hardships, and persecution from her spouse, stands as a testament to her unshakeable faith. Despite the challenges she faced, her unyielding belief never faltered, inspiring her family to follow in her footsteps. Pastor Parasuraman has devoted over 13 years to his marriage with Sister. Jessy, and they are proud parents to three children: Bitya (11), Toby(10) and Beno(4). A respected figure within the community, Pastor leads with wisdom and compassion, inspiring those around him with his dedication to faith and family.
