Our Church

Love God, love people.

In the early years, it was hard to organise a Malayalee Pentecostal gathering closer to city, because majority of Malayalee’s were settled South East of Melbourne. The believers who were here attended English services and worshipped the Lord. As the years went by, an increasing number of Malayalee’s moved to Melbourne CBD. When these newcomers arrived in the city area, there was a strong desire in their hearts to worship the Lord in the way they had known.
We remember on January the 3rd 2010, we started our first Sunday service, with a few members and it continued as a regular Sunday service. Initially we started as a branch church of the Ebenezer Christian Assembly. From the 1st of May 2013, the church was resistrated under the consumers affairs Victoria and the name of the church is Ebenezer City Church Melbourne Inc. The church is affiliated to Australian Christian Churches (ACC).

OUR MINISTRIES

Kids Ministry

We are a church committed to our children. As the Scripture says “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14), we understand that it is important to train up children in a Godly manner. We have different classes for all age groups from toddlers to adults. Sunday School classes are held every Sunday from 9:00am to 10:00am.

Youth Ministry

We have a very active youth association at ECC. We conduct many activities for the youth. They meet on every third Sunday after the worship service. The purpose of these meetings is to encourage the youth to extend their God given talents for the glory of God.

Ladies Ministry

We have a dedicated Ladies’ group which focuses on the spiritual growth among the ladies and that of our church. They gather together for prayer on every second Friday/Saturday evening at 7:30pm/6:00pm

Evangelism Team

The church is actively supporting and sponsoring ministries in India and those in need. At home, there is a focus on tract distribution and proclaiming the Word of God to the unsaved. We long for God’s glory to share Christ with the lost, learn and face the truth of God’s word, love unconditionally and to minister through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The purpose of our Christian life means knowing who we are in Christ and what he’s done for us, then acting out our relationship and redemption by being obedient to God’s will. It is the pursuit of God which makes him the driving force, inspiration, motivation, and reason for all we do in life. We gather to share the gospel to the non-believers every third Saturday evening.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer connects us to God. Prayer brings the heavens to earth and opens the door to see revival. God’s presence becomes manifest in our lives in a vital and living way. Prayer holds and puts in our hands the keys of the doors of hope, peace, love and forgiveness. Prayer lifts the weak up, slaughters the proud, destroys vanity, cleans the secret place of the heart and unblocks our spiritual ears to receive heavenly messages.
